2028 Elections : Victory for Bawumia is assured – Tano North MP
The Member of Parliament for Tano North and spokesperson for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Gideon Boako, has dismissed claims by the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Tano North Constituency Secretary, Stephen Ntiamoah, that his support for the former Vice President is based purely on loyalty despite allegedly believing Dr. Bawumia cannot win the 2028 elections.

Describing the comments as “wicked lies,” Dr. Boako said the allegations are baseless and should be treated with contempt.
In a statement responding to the claims, Dr. Boako explained that he was not present at the delegates’ meeting where the remarks were allegedly made.
He clarified that his support for Dr. Bawumia comes from his strong belief in the former Vice President’s competence and readiness to lead.
“My support for Dr. Bawumia is based on my firm belief that he is the most credible, experienced, and winnable candidate to lead the NPP into victory in 2028. Any claims to the contrary are nothing but figments of imagination,” he stated.
The Tano North MP highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s overwhelming endorsement in the 2023 NPP flagbearer elections in his constituency, where he secured 83% of the votes.
He assured that the people of Tano North remain committed to supporting Dr. Bawumia, while he himself is focused on mobilizing support for the NPP’s 2024 presidential candidate and fulfilling his parliamentary duties.
Dr. Boako also cautioned aspirants against trying to associate his name with their campaigns, stressing that his political goodwill comes from years of humble and dedicated service, backed by Dr. Bawumia’s support.
“We will continue to work with all our energy for Dr. Bawumia, and come 31st January 2026, the results will once again speak for themselves. Let us stay focused. Victory is assured,” he added…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
