6 historical facts in the Quran that christians should know

Many Christians view the Quran as a foreign text with doctrines that are often difficult to understand, including passages calling for the punishment of “disbelievers.” However, the Quran contains over 50 stories that resemble historical events found in the Bible. While Christians may not defend the Quran, it also highlights the significance of Christ in striking ways.

Out of the Quran’s 114 chapters and 6,236 verses, the Prophet Mohammed is mentioned only four times (Ch. 3:144, Ch. 33:40, Ch. 47:2, Ch. 48:2). In contrast, the name of Jesus appears 25 times.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, is the only woman mentioned by name in the Quran. Her story spans two chapters: Chapter 3, The Family of Mariam, and Chapter 19, Mary. These chapters describe her holiness, virginity, and bodily ascension to heaven.

Jesus (al-MaseeHu ‘Eesa) is referred to as the Word of God (Kalimatullaah) and the Holy Spirit (Ruh-Allah) in the Quran. These names carry deep significance and symbolism.

The Quran also recounts many of the miracles of Jesus that are familiar to Christians. These include bringing a bird to life from mud, healing a man born blind and another with leprosy, speaking as a two-day-old child, and raising the dead. His ascension to heaven, continued existence, and promise to return are all mentioned.

  1. By following your interpretation of these facts outlined in the Quran,it gives reverence to Jesus more the the Holy Prophet Mohammed ‘SAW’. This your interpretation is at variance to the teachings of the Holy Quran. Jesus never ascended to heaven in body as you you are claiming.
