7 Business Ideas You Can Start With GHS 2,000 According To A Twitter User

There is no denying the fact that when you are able to start and run your own business, it can sometimes provide a certain level of financial security to you in a way that being an employee in someone’s business wouldn’t.

With the ever fewer jobs in the system and as more and more Ghanaians become graduates by the day, finding alternative means of earning a sustainable income is very essential.

It is common for a lot of Ghanaians to become unemployed after their National Service and if the cue from the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta is anything to go by, the government will not be saving them.

That is why a path to entrepreneurship has no longer become a calling or a passion, but that of a necessity and the need to survive.

Thanks to Benjamin Osei Mireku, a chartered accountant with an MBA from the University of Cape Coast, we have 7 business ideas you can start with a starting capital of GHS 2,000.

In a Twitter thread, Benjamin shared business ideas, how much money you need to start and how to even disburse the capital into key areas of the business.

The business ideas ranged from starting a mobile money business to a dropshipping business.

  1. Mobile Money Business.

2 and 3. Sell niche second-hand clothes, and a bottle and sachet water business.

4 and 5. Laundry business and a breakfast joint.

6 and 7. A coconut joint and a dropshipping business.

In all these business ideas, you need to get your marketing game on because the only way you’re making any money is if you sell.
