Kofi Ofosu Nkansah opens up on ditching Bawumia for Ken Agyapong

Former CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has refuted claims that he has shifted his allegiance to Kennedy Agyapong in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) internal presidential race.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, August 7, 2025, Nkansah described the rumours as false and misleading, stressing that he remains a committed supporter of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

“I have not switched camps. I am still the number one supporter of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia,” he wrote, emphasising his belief that Dr Bawumia is the most capable candidate to lead the party into the 2028 general elections.

Nkansah, who was actively involved in Dr Bawumia’s 2023 presidential primaries campaign, expressed disappointment over what he described as deliberate attempts to misrepresent his political stance.

He urged party members and the public to disregard the speculation, warning that such rumours are intended to create division within the party.
