The elder brother of Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, one of the eight victims of the Ghana Armed Forces helicopter crash on August 6, has spoken out for the first time about the tragedy.

In an interview with Channel One TV on August 7, Marshall Anala shared how the loss of his youngest brother has deeply affected the family.
He revealed that Peter Anala’s wife, who lives in the UK, is finding it hard to cope with the loss, especially as she is also adjusting to life as a new mother.
“It has been very tragic because, in May, he went to visit his wife in the UK, and then around the 10th of June, she had delivered a baby girl. In fact, the christening has not yet been done. It’s really tragic. The baby is barely two months old, and in fact, the wife is alone in the UK. We are trying to see how we will get her around. It’s really difficult. They got married on the 20th of April, on my birthday in 2022, so it was very symbolic for me.
