“The helicopter blasted in the air – MP gives fresh account (VIDEO)

The Member of Parliament for Ada and Deputy Majority Chief Whip, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, has given a fresh account of the August 6, 2025, helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight prominent Ghanaians.

The disaster, which happened at Adansi Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, killed Ghana’s Defence Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and the Minister of Environment, Science and Technology, Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, among others.

Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM, MP Cudjoe-Ghansah extended her condolences to the bereaved families.

Although the official investigative report on the cause of the crash has not yet been released, the Deputy Majority Chief Whip claimed the helicopter exploded mid-air before hitting the ground.

“The helicopter did not crash; it exploded in the air before it fell to the ground. So all the people were burnt even before it landed. The parts of the helicopter were scattered all over the site, and the bodies were also scattered and burning,” she said…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
