Watch how Lordina Mahama reacted after seeing her bodyguard pushing the crowd

First Lady Lordina Mahama on Sunday, August 17, 2025, showed humility and calmness during the thanksgiving service of the late Minister of Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, who died in the recent helicopter crash.

The service was held at the Christ the King Church in Accra and was attended by President John Dramani Mahama, Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and several members of the public.

After the church service, Lordina, together with her husband and the Vice President, exchanged pleasantries with some members of the congregation.

As she walked towards her vehicle, her bodyguard was heard shouting at some people in the crowd to “go back.” Lordina quickly turned to the bodyguard and calmly said, “Don’t push them.” The officer immediately responded, “Yes, Maa.”

The Z9 helicopter crash that claimed the life of Dr Omane Boamah also killed Minister of Environment, Science and Technology Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Alhaji Mohammed Muniru Limuna, former Central Regional Minister Samuel Sarpong and former Obuasi East parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye.
