NDC sacrificed innocent blood, Dr. Omane Boamah and his people – NPP’s Adomako Baafi
Former Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Yaw Adomako Baafi, has alleged that the recent arrest of social media influencer Sir Obama and two other TikTokers, as well as the suspension of operations at Wontumi Radio, are all deliberate attempts to divert public attention from more serious national issues.

Speaking in an interview with Oheneba Asiedu on Wontumi TV, Lawyer Adomako Baafi claimed that the ruling government, under the influence of former President John Mahama and key opposition figures, is orchestrating these events to shift focus.
“The long and short of the whole matter is that after sacrificing innocent blood, Dr. Omane Boamah and his people are now using these distractions to divert attention from what really matters,” he asserted.
He questioned the selective nature of recent arrests, comparing the treatment of the TikTokers to what he described as leniency towards other outspoken political figures.
“Even Captain Smart is still around. Look at the chaos that followed his comments in Obuasi. Sammy Gyamfi and Okudzeto Ablakwa are also still walking freely despite the controversial things they’ve said. But now, innocent people are being arrested?” he asked.
Adomako Baafi further launched a scathing critique of former President John Dramani Mahama’s tenure, citing a series of tragedies and incidents that occurred under his leadership.
“Nothing good ever came out of Mahama’s time in office. Look at what happened after President Mills passed away and Mahama took over—Melcom collapsed and people died. Two buses collided in Kintampo and over 70 people perished. The Circle twin disaster claimed over 300 lives, all under his watch. These things were even prophesied by Owusu Bempah,” he claimed.
He also defended the controversial statements made by the arrested TikTokers, suggesting they were only speaking the truth and should not be criminalized for it.
“What’s wrong if the TikTokers are saying the truth? Today, Bawumia has been vindicated. He was once blamed for the Bawku conflict. Now that he’s not in power, look at what is still happening in Bawku. Even the Bawku Central MP can’t go there,” he added.
Lawyer Adomako Baafi concluded by urging the public not to remain silent on these issues and called on authorities to ensure fairness and justice in handling matters of free speech and political expression.
