Akwatia by-election: NDC’s Azoka fights NPP’s Osman Masawudu
A fight nearly broke out between the NPP’s Third National Vice Chairman, Osman Masawudu, and the NDC’s First National Vice Chairman, Awudu Sofo Azorka, at the Akwatia Lorry polling station while voting was underway.

TV3’s Armstrong Gold Alorgbey, who reported from the scene, said the altercation began when Osman Masawudu mentioned Azorka’s name during a media interview at the polling station.
Azorka, who was standing nearby, heard his name and warned Masawudu to stop mentioning him. This led to an exchange of words between the two.
According to Armstrong, the incident initially appeared lighthearted, as Masawudu kept repeating Azorka’s name in what seemed like a joke. However, the situation quickly escalated into a heated argument that almost turned physical.
