Ghana Prisons Service opens up on Agradaa allegedly battling severe health complications

The Ghana Prisons Service has strongly dismissed circulating rumours that incarcerated televangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa, is facing serious health issues while serving her sentence.

In a press statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Deputy Director of Prisons Janet Asabea, the Service described the reports as false, misleading, and deliberately fabricated by individuals seeking attention and online followers.

The clarification comes after widespread speculation on social media alleged that the founder of Heaven Way International Church was battling swollen legs, frequently breaking down in tears, and receiving special medical care from a private doctor at least four times a week.

The Prisons Service, however, categorically denied these claims, stressing that Agradaa is in good health and has not received any special privileges.

“These claims are nothing more than calculated attempts to incite unnecessary tension and mislead the public. We urge Ghanaians to disregard such fabrications,” the statement read.

According to the Service, no inmate under its care receives preferential treatment, and Agradaa has not experienced any major health complications since her incarceration.
