Popular Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin has opened up about some of the bad habits he engaged in during his teenage years and how his father’s absence affected his upbringing.

Speaking in an interview on the With Chude show, Bucci revealed that growing up without a father figure had a negative impact on his life. He admitted to having multiple girlfriends, taking hard drugs, and abusing alcohol as a teenager.

“I troubled my mom a lot when I was a teenager. It wasn’t easy for her as a single parent because she had to go to work. Not having a father figure in my life was quite difficult for me,” he said.

He praised single mothers for their sacrifices, emphasizing how challenging it is to raise children alone.

“I commend all the single women who are taking care of their children alone because every woman needs a man in their lives to help with the children — even if it’s a brother or a strong role model to look up to in society,” he added.

Bucci further revealed that despite his father not being present, he still regards him as a good man.

“I used to sleep with different girls, take hard drugs, and drink alcohol. I would even go home to my mom while drunk. My dad wasn’t there to look after me at the time, but he was still a good man.
