NDC’s flagbearer race: Prof. Jane Naana ‘whips’ Asiedu Nketia in new poll
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is facing a tough challenge in the party’s 2028 presidential race, according to the latest poll by Global InfoAnalytics.

The survey shows that Asiedu Nketia has secured just 10% of voter support, placing him outside the top three contenders for the party’s flagbearership.
Leading the race is current Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, who holds 26% of voter preference. She is followed by the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, with 19%, while Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson ranks third with 12%.
Asiedu Nketia shares fourth place with Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, with both polling at 10% each.
Other notable figures in the race include Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, and Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, who both received 6% support.
