Ghana will look to maintain pole position in Group I and take one step closer to qualifying for the 2026 Fifa World Cup when the Black Stars face the Central African Republic at the Stade d’Honneur in Meknes, Morocco this Afternoon in matchday 9 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The Central African Republic sit fifth out of six teams in Group I, having collected five points from their eight games. Les Fauves have managed only one win, which came against Chad in June 2024, two draws and five losses.

Ghana are well positioned to make their fifth appearance at the World Cup, sitting in first place in Group I with 19 points from eight matches and only one loss.

The Black Stars are three points above second-placed Madagascar and will be looking for a victory to maintain that gap or secure qualification, should Madagascar do anything but win.
