Weird video of Kantanka’s son shilly-shally before greeting Akrobeto

Social media has been buzzing after a viral video showed Kwadwo Safo Jnr, son of the late Ghanaian inventor and entrepreneur Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, appearing to refuse a handshake from popular actor Akrobeto during the 40-Day Observation of his late father.

In the video, which began circulating on October 20, 2025, Akrobeto was seen moving along a line to greet members of the Kantanka family at their tent. When he got to Kwadwo Safo Jnr, however, the latter did not immediately extend his hand, leaving Akrobeto momentarily standing in front of him.

A second angle of the same event, later shared online, showed the two laughing and shaking hands before Akrobeto moved on to greet others, suggesting that the earlier moment had been playful and not serious.

Before this, social media users had speculated that there might be tension between the two men. They referred to another video from October 17, during an earlier memorial ceremony for the late Apostle Kantanka, where Kwadwo Safo Jnr appeared to greet other guests but seemed to skip Akrobeto. That video had sparked debate among fans and observers.
