Suspect man arrested over brutal m8rder of two cousins

Gauteng police in South Africa have arrested a 38-year-old man in connection with the brutal murder of two young women, identified as cousins Tshiamo Moramaga, 22, and Baleseng Moramaga, 21.

The two women were found dead with gunshot wounds on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
“A 38-year-old man was arrested on Monday, October 27, 2025, in connection with two counts of murder and attempted murder that occurred in Mamelodi East Extension 17 on Sunday, October 26, 2025,” Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko said.

Sibeko explained that a third victim was also shot during the incident and is currently receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

“Acting on this information, a joint team consisting of detectives from the Gauteng Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit, Provincial Crime Intelligence, and Mamelodi East Detectives arrested the suspect at a filling station in Pretoria,” Sibeko added.

The suspect, identified as Tebogo Mnisi, who reportedly worked as a bouncer and was dating one of the cousins, is expected to appear before the Mamelodi Magistrates’ Court on October 29, 2025.

A WhatsApp message from Tshiamo sent just hours before her death read, “Tlaa go Tebogo ashuu wa actor moh” (“Come, Tebogo is acting up”), appearing to implicate Mnisi in the incident.
Following the tragedy, reports indicated that angry residents later torched the suspect’s home.

The mother of one of the victims, Itumeleng Moramaga, 41, expressed her heartbreak, saying she would not wish the pain she feels even on her worst enemy.

Itumeleng confirmed that her daughter, Tshiamo, and her sister’s daughter, Baleseng, were the victims.

Speaking from her home in Tembisa, she said she learned about the tragedy from her eldest sister, the mother of Baleseng.

She explained that the two cousins lived together in Mamelodi, where they rented a room.
“My eldest sister called me in the morning telling me about this incident, that I had to rush there.

I asked what happened, and she just said the kids got hurt. I was shocked because my daughter had recently visited me,” she said.

When she arrived at the scene, she was confronted with the devastating news that both young women had been shot dead.

“When I arrived there, I found that they had died, and they were already inside the forensic vehicle. I asked to see them, and when I did, I saw that it was them — they had been shot,” she said tearfully…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
