Mad rush at Teacher Mante as residents rush to siphon fuel after tanker accident
A fuel tanker overturned at Teacher Mante in the Eastern Region on Thursday, November 6, 2025, spilling large quantities of petroleum products and drawing crowds of residents who rushed to scoop the leaking fuel despite the danger.

According to reports by Citi News, the tanker lost control and fell onto its side, causing fuel to gush out onto the road. Soon after, some residents were seen with containers, collecting the spilled fuel, ignoring the obvious risk of an explosion.
Concerned residents have since called on the Ghana National Fire Service and the police to move in quickly to cordon off the area and prevent a potential disaster.
