Edem reacts as Agbeko rejects rehab support
Musician Edem says he has been forced to step back from helping fellow artiste Agbeko after the troubled singer rejected all efforts to get him into rehabilitation.

In a statement on social media, Edem explained that his team reached out to Agbeko following his emotional interview on Hitz FM, where he admitted to drug abuse and serious financial struggles.
Edem said his team committed time and resources to support him, hoping to help him start afresh. On the day of the planned intervention, Edem spent hours with Agbeko—taking him to a salon, eating with him, and later accompanying him to the Pantang health facility for professional help.
Despite all the arrangements and guidance from health officials, Agbeko reportedly refused to enter the rehabilitation programme.
“It’s with deep disappointment that I want to inform all well-wishers and family that the entire team followed up on Agbeko and we did everything possible to get him on a new path… even with professional effort and guidance, he refused,” Edem wrote.

Agbeko, once a well-known name in Ghanaian music, has battled drug addiction in recent years, a struggle that became more evident during his recent interview on Hitz FM. Even host Andy Dosty offered to personally fund his rehab, but that offer was also turned down.
