WATCH: Ghanaian Trader loses it after losing life savings to scam
A Ghanaian trader was captured on video in deep distress after allegedly falling victim to a scam.
The woman, said to be a trader from Sefwi-Bekwai Zongo, cried bitterly as sympathisers gathered around her. She had reportedly lost the money she needed for her daily business.
The incident happened on the morning of November 20, 2025, while she was heading to the market.
A colleague explained that the trader was approached by a man who appeared trustworthy and asked her to help change some money into smaller notes.
“This morning, she went to the market to buy her goods. She said someone asked her to change money, and the man looked like a good person,” the colleague said.
After the exchange, the trader later realised that her capital — about GH₵1,900 — had been replaced with worthless pieces of paper.
To show what happened, she opened her market bag, which was filled with cut paper. “Look. After she changed the money for him, it has turned into pieces of paper,” she said…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
