Food Vendor in Takoradi exposes NPP MP who said kenkey in Takoradi costs GH¢7
The Member of Parliament for Takoradi, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, says the price of kenkey has gone up since the Mahama administration took office on January 7, 2025.
He made the claim in Parliament during the debate on the budget presented by Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson.
According to him, the price of a ball of kenkey has increased from GH¢5 to GH¢7. After his comment, a blogger asked the MP where he buys his kenkey so the claim could be verified.
In an Instagram video, the former Western Regional Minister said he buys his kenkey in Takoradi, near Ecobank. He explained that during the Akufo-Addo administration, he bought a ball for GH¢5 from the same place, but the price has now gone up.
However, another blogger in Takoradi went to the exact kenkey joint mentioned by the MP and spoke to the seller. The woman denied the MP’s claim and stated clearly that she still sells a ball of kenkey for GH¢5…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
