Watch: Ga chief applies to join the military, goes for medical screening
The chief of Kotoku Sabama, Nii Adjetey Donkor, was seen at the Eastern Naval Command in Tema in the Greater Accra Region taking part in medical screening during the ongoing recruitment exercise.

The chief, whose formal name is Abdul Rashid Aryitey, explained why he decided to apply to join the military.
In a video shared on X, Nii Adjetey Donkor appeared in wine coloured trousers and a matching shirt. He wore ahenema slippers and had a bracelet on his wrist that showed his authority as a chief.
His choice of clothing went against the official dress code for military applicants, who were required to wear a white T shirt and a black tracksuit.
When he was asked why he chose to apply even though he is a chief, Nii Adjetey Donkor said he was thinking about his future.
“I’m just here to fight for my own future.” He acknowledged that he understands he would receive commands from senior officers in the military and would obey them without complaint, just as his subjects obey him. “I’m a man of authority and under authority. So if I command and people obey when I’m here, if they command me, I will also do it.”
When he was asked to share a message with his subjects, especially the youth, he encouraged them to join the security services or pursue other jobs that offer good income. “If I, who am their chief, am here, then they should also try and enlist in any of the security services.”…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
