AFCON: Ex-Ghana coach, names two favourites to win trophy

Former Ghana national team coach Claude Le Roy has named his two favourites to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament begins later this month and will run until January next year.

Speaking to Canal +, Le Roy said Morocco and Nigeria are the strongest contenders for the title.

Ivory Coast are the defending champions after beating Nigeria 2-1 in the final of the last edition, which they hosted.

Sharing his thoughts on the upcoming tournament, Le Roy said, “So yes Nigeria remains one of the favourites for the AFCON after Morocco.”
