DISCLAIMER: I DID NOT ENDORSE DR. BAWUMIA
~Alexander Amanor Narh-Gbeeku (Constituency Chairman, Ashaiman)
My attention has been drawn to a false and malicious social media post circulating with an AI-generated image purporting to show me endorsing the presidential candidature of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Let me state unequivocally and for the avoidance of doubt that this claim is entirely false.
As Constituency Chairman of the NPP in Ashaiman, custom and party protocol required that when Dr. Bawumia visited to engage delegates, I led his delegation and formally introduced him to party members, just as I would do for any presidential hopeful of our great party.
At no point during my introduction or speech did I endorse his candidature.
I never raised my hands, I never signaled the number three, and I never made any gesture or statement (directly or indirectly) suggesting support for Dr. Bawumia. Any image or claim suggesting otherwise is a deliberate fabrication, engineered through artificial intelligence and misinformation tactics to deceive delegates and the general public.
I condemn this act in the strongest possible terms. It is dishonest, unethical, and dangerous to our internal democratic processes. Those behind this falsehood know the truth but have chosen deception over integrity.
Let it be clearly known that I remain fully committed to the campaign of Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong (Ken). My loyalty, conviction, and political efforts are firmly aligned with Team Ken, whose message of courage, fairness, opportunity, and grassroots empowerment resonates deeply with the aspirations of our delegates.
I urge party members, delegates, and the public to disregard the fake image and accompanying claims, and to always verify information from credible and official sources.
The truth needs no manipulation.
Signed:
Chairman Alexander Amanor Narh-Gbeeku
NPP Constituency Chairman, Ashaiman
