We’ve profiled 190,000 delegates out of the 209,000 – Bryan Acheampong

Aspiring flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has claimed that internal polling by his campaign shows he is leading the race for the party’s presidential slot, despite public opinion polls suggesting otherwise.

Speaking on Wednesday’s edition of PeaceFM’s Kokrokoo Morning Show with Kwami Sefa Kayi, the former Minister of Food and Agriculture and current MP for Abetifi said his team has profiled nearly all eligible delegates—over 190,000 across 220 constituencies—ahead of the January 31, 2026 NPP presidential primary.

“We are doing military precision profiling, and we’ve profiled 190,000 delegates out of the 209,000,” he noted.

His comments come after a recent survey by Global Info Analytics and KAS that projected Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the frontrunner, with former Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyepong trailing behind.

Responding to the poll results, Dr. Acheampong described them as “psychological operations” and emphasized his experience in elections since 2002. He stressed that only ground-level profiling of delegates can provide accurate insights.

“Come January 31, all these people will be shamed; we are going to win hands down,” he asserted.

Dr. Acheampong also highlighted a declining trend in public polls over the months, noting that Bawumia’s reported support dropped from 77% in May to 42% in November, suggesting that by January, it could fall to 20%…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
