NDC MP set to retire
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Ranking Member on the Foreign Affairs Committee, has announced that he plans to retire from Parliament in the near future.

After making the announcement, he urged constituents who have leadership ambitions to begin preparing themselves to maintain the high standards he has set during his time in office.
He said considerable resources have been invested in grooming the next generation of professionals, including aeronautical engineers, lawyers and legislators, to ensure the continued development of the constituency.
Mr Ablakwa made the remarks at a ceremony in Juapong where he presented scholarship support to fifty students from the area.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to remain disciplined and committed to excellence, while expressing pride in supporting their academic dreams.
“We are producing engineers, lawyers, aeronautical engineers, future MPs who will be taking over from me because I will be retiring soon. Also, future presidents and future teachers who will come and help us to maintain the high standards we are laying over here.”
He concluded by restating his commitment to youth development, describing the scholarship scheme as a key part of his legacy in North Tongu.
