Watch moment late Ayawaso East MP’s remains arrived from the hospital

There were emotional scenes at the home of the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mohamed Naser Toure Mahama, when his body was brought from the hospital.

GhanaWeb’s team at the residence captured moments of grief as family members and mourners paid their last respects.

Many people were seen in tears, clearly devastated by the death of Naser Toure Mahama, who had represented the Ayawaso East Constituency in Parliament since 2012.

Several Members of Parliament from the National Democratic Congress were also present and expressed shock over the death of their Greater Accra NDC Caucus chairman.

Some MPs paid tribute to Naser Toure Mahama, describing him as a man of substance and a strong leader.

Many recalled how the experienced Ayawaso East legislator helped them settle into parliamentary work.

Naser Toure Mahama was reported dead on the afternoon of Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Born on March 17, 1965, in Nima, Accra, he was a seasoned politician who represented Ayawaso East in the Greater Accra Region on the ticket of the NDC.

He first entered Parliament in 2012 after winning the seat in the general elections and was re-elected in subsequent polls, including a decisive victory in the 2024 elections, where he secured more than 70 percent of the votes.

A businessman by profession, Mahama held a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Central University, a Diploma in Governance from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, and a Master of Business Administration from Doshisha University in Japan…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
