Name one credible survey to back your assertion – Nana Akomea clashes with Bryan Acheampong

Nana Akomea, chairman of the communications directorate for Bawumia’s campaign, has dismissed Bryan Acheampong’s recent claim that Bawumia’s candidature was the main reason for the NPP’s loss in 2024.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo programme last Thursday, he described Bryan Acheampong’s assertion as personal conjecture without any basis in credible research.

Explaining his point to host Kwame Sefa Kayi, Nana Akomea cited reports from several research studies conducted in 2024 before the elections, including those by the EIU, Afrobarometer, and Global Info Analytics. He said all these surveys indicated that the NPP would lose the elections due to prevailing living conditions, particularly bread and butter issues.

He also referenced studies conducted in 2025 after the elections, such as the Prof Ocquaye Committee and the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation, which confirmed that economic challenges and public disaffection with the government were the main reasons for the defeat.

Nana Akomea emphasized that none of these key studies listed Bawumia’s candidature as a cause of the loss. He challenged Bryan Acheampong to name a single credible survey to support his claim.

He concluded that recent surveys on the upcoming NPP primaries, including those by Global Info Analytics and Konrad Adenauer, show Bawumia’s growing popularity with delegates, further disproving the notion that he was responsible for the party’s defeat in 2024…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
