Timber truck crashes Aboboyaa; 6 dead in Asikuma
A fatal road accident at Asikuma, a community between the Bia West and Bia East districts in the Western North Region, has resulted in the death of six people, with one other person in critical condition.

Reports indicate that eight people were travelling on a tricycle, popularly called aboboyaa, from Asuopiri in the Bia West District to Adabokrom in the Bia East District to engage in farming activities.
On reaching a hilly section of the road near Asikuma, a timber truck travelling from Adabokrom allegedly lost control and collided with the tricycle.
Six passengers died instantly from the impact, while one person sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Assamu Government Hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses said the tricycle rider jumped off moments before the crash and escaped. His whereabouts are currently unknown, and youth in the community have started a search to find him and confirm his condition.
The driver of the timber truck has reported himself to the Dabeso District Police Command. Police officers have visited the scene, conveyed the bodies to the morgue, and begun investigations into the accident…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
