Lady rescued by Akabenezer team returned to the street – Heartbreaking video causes stir online
Abigail Sarpong, the young Ghanaian woman who was rescued from life on the streets by actor Dr Likee’s team some years ago, has reappeared in public after returning to her former lifestyle in 2025.
Abigail became widely known in 2023 when she was found by associates of the Kumawood actor on the streets of Kumasi. At the time, she was facing serious financial difficulties and substance abuse, which had left her in a bad condition before she received help from Dr Likee’s team.
In 2025, a video showing Abigail back on the streets after relapsing began circulating on social media, raising concern among many people.
In the video, a passerby who recognised her expressed disappointment at the change in her appearance. She looked physically weak and appeared older than her age.
