He killed the girl with concrete block after denying him sex – Man arrested at Yamoah Nkwanta for death girlfriend

A man believed to be in his late 30s has been arrested by the Awutu Jei-Krodua District Police Command for allegedly killing his girlfriend at Awutu Yamoah Nkwanta in the Awutu Senya West District of the Central Region.

The deceased, identified as Sister Yaa, was found lying in a pool of blood with a concrete block placed on her face.

Police sources said the suspect, who lives in Oboman in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, had gone to visit his girlfriend and planned to spend the night. The incident reportedly occurred after the woman refused to have sex with him.

Information gathered by Ghone News’ Yaw Boagyan indicated that the suspect allegedly attacked the woman with a cutlass, inflicting wounds on her face, before hitting her head with a concrete block.

The chief of Awutu Yamoah Nkwanta and Ogyahene of the Awutu Traditional Council, Nai Achiene Acheampong Kuma, described the incident, saying, “He butchered his girlfriend before smashing her head with the block.”

He said he quickly informed the Jei-Krodua and Kasoa Ofaakor District Police Commands, which led to the arrest of the suspect.
