Bryan threatened to boycott NPP campaign because…- Opare Ansah

Former Member of Parliament for Suhum, Fred Opare Ansah, has accused Dr. Bryan Acheampong, NPP flagbearer hopeful and MP for Abetifi, of negatively affecting the party’s performance during the 2024 general elections.

According to Opare Ansah, Acheampong’s issues with the paramount chief of Kwahu, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III (Kwahumanhene), disrupted the NPP’s campaign in the Eastern Region.

He revealed that Acheampong had once threatened to boycott the NPP’s campaign events in the region if a party delegation visited the Kwahumanhene.

“Bryan helped us in the Eastern Region, but he also caused harm at some point. On the day we were going to Abetifi, the regional chairman sent me a message saying that if we made the mistake of going to greet the Kwahumanhene, he (Bryan) would boycott both Kwahu and Abetifi programmes,” Opare Ansah said.

He added, “If you remember, there was a fight between Bryan and the Kwahumanhene, and this had entered our politics.”
