The story of a middle-aged Kenyan man, Zirayo Okole, has moved many social media users to tears.

Zirayo travelled to the UAE in search of better opportunities after life became difficult for him back home in Kampala, where he had a wife and a child.

He started working as a construction laborer, building his strength by carrying cement from the ground floor to the top floors of skyscrapers. After three years, he was promoted to a watchman once the building was completed, thanks to his impressive physique.

After working a year as a watchman, Zirayo became a bouncer at a security firm in Dubai. During this time, he built a good relationship with the locals, and a Dubai prince noticed him and hired him as a gym trainer. This secured him a well-paying job, which he held for six years.

Every month, Zirayo sent 20,000 dirhams to his wife in Uganda to build a house and invest, doing so faithfully for six years and seven months.

However, upon returning home last year, he was shocked to discover that his wife had sold all the properties he had worked so hard to acquire over more than a decade, and she was now married to someone else.
