Deal with Prof. Fimpong Boateng cautiously because our numbers have dwindled – NPP’s Kankam Boadu
David Kankam Boadu, an aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on the party’s leadership to abandon what he described as “the spirit of arrogance” and address issues involving Professor Frimpong-Boateng with unity, dignity and stability.

Mr Boadu said the current internal tension is a serious setback that could further destabilise the party.
He questioned the party’s consistency, pointing out the contradiction in granting amnesty to some previously suspended members while threatening others with expulsion. He warned:
“Record this interview and send it to the General Secretary and the leadership of the party to tread cautiously because our numbers have dwindled, and so why are we interested in expelling party members?”
Rather than pursuing expulsion, Mr Boadu said the best approach would be to invite the former minister for a closed-door discussion. He stressed that the current leadership approach is affecting the party’s efforts to rebuild.
“The spirit of arrogance has taken over some party leaders, and I want them to calm down. They should calm down so that we can restrategise and restructure the party. Our party leaders should take their time so that we can remobilise ourselves and deal with the crisis in the party instead of threatening people.”
Speaking on As It Is in Ghana, an apolitical programme hosted by Sir Richie on Rainbow Radio 92.4FM UK and 87.5FM Ghana, Mr Boadu warned that without unity, the party could lose the 2028 elections regardless of who leads it.
He concluded that the public exchanges are damaging the party’s image.
“I believe what the party leadership is doing and what the team of Prof. Frimpong Boateng is doing is rather dragging the name of the party in the mud. If I had my way, they would rather be disciplined. I want to stress that the party should deal with the arrogance of power and deal with the matter in a manner that will not drag the party further.”…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
