NPP’s aspiring National Chairman opens up on withdrawing from the chairmanship race

Mr David Kankam Boadu, an aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has strongly denied claims that he has withdrawn from the race.

He said he remains in the contest and described himself as the only candidate with a clean party record and high credibility, insisting that he has no “skeletons in his cupboard” compared to other aspirants.

As a founding member of both the national NPP and its UK branch, Mr Boadu said other contenders for the chairmanship have questionable records that could work against them.

Speaking on the programme As It Is in Ghana on Rainbow Radio, he highlighted his long record of party discipline, personal sacrifice and commitment to the NPP’s founding principles.

He was direct in addressing those spreading rumours about his alleged withdrawal, saying anyone making such claims is “mentally unstable.”

He questioned suggestions that any rival could intimidate him, stressing that no one in the party has a stronger political personality or a cleaner record than he does.

He challenged the other aspirants to show that they are equally free of political baggage.

Looking ahead, Mr Boadu said he has the vision needed to transform the NPP.

He explained that his focus is on restructuring the party’s front and uniting the north to secure victory in the 2028 elections.
