NPP Flagbearer Race: Bawumia takes a leap to victory in new reports
Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has been tipped to emerge as the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party with just a week to the party’s internal presidential election.

According to the latest survey by Global InfoAnalytics, its “committed voters model survey” shows Dr. Bawumia in a strong leading position and close to securing victory.
The survey, published on Friday, indicated that Dr. Bawumia improved significantly from the previous poll to 48 percent, while his closest rival, Kennedy Agyapong, dropped to 25 percent.
Dr. Bryan Acheampong polled 6 percent, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum had 1 percent, and Kwabena Agyapong recorded 0 percent.
With Dr. Bawumia just 2 percent short of the required 50 percent plus one needed to win outright, Global InfoAnalytics reported that about 21 percent of delegates declined to disclose their voting preference.
The committed voters model further showed that Dr. Bawumia is leading in 14 out of the 16 regions, with the exception of the Central and Volta Regions.
