Woman reveals her husbands last words on hospital bed, after he was stabbed
NIGERIA-Twenty-seven-year-old Nkiruka Okeke, a mother of four, told The Punch that her husband, Oluzuluike, was stabbed to death by suspected herdsmen while working near a stream in the Obuovia community of Enugu State.

When asked about her own work, she explained that she sells okpa, a local food made from Bambara nuts, along the Enugu expressway.
Regarding her husband’s work, she said he did manual labour, mostly dredging and packaging sand from streams or riversides for building projects, and then took the sand to the roadside for buyers. She noted that the work was hard, but it was how he supported their family.
On what happened to him, she said it all occurred very quickly. She recalled that on Friday, October 3, he got up early, and they talked before he left for work. He told her to get the children ready for school, and she had no idea it would be the last time she would see him alive.
She said that shortly after he left, a man ran to their house shouting her name and urging her to hurry. He told her that her husband had been taken to the hospital.
She said, “I ran straight to the hospital and saw my husband lying there. He managed to speak briefly and said, ‘The herdsmen stabbed me in the chest.’ Those were his last words. After that, he couldn’t speak again.”
She explained that the doctors said he needed to be transferred immediately to the University Teaching Hospital, but he died before morning. That, she said, was how she lost him…CONTINUE MORE READING>>>
