Let God deal with us – Okyere Baafi goes after Bryan Acheampong
The Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Michael Okyere Baafi, has challenged New Patriotic Party flagbearer hopeful Dr Bryan Acheampong to produce evidence that he was among the 62 MPs allegedly given financial support by him during the period the NPP was in government.

Okyere Baafi said he has never received money from Dr Acheampong and insisted that his name should not be linked to the claim.
He warned that if Dr Acheampong is unable to substantiate the allegation, divine judgment would follow.
“I have dared Dr Bryan Acheampong and I will dare him again to show where he gave me money or included me among the 62 MPs who allegedly received funds. He should show me clearly. If he cannot prove it, then God will deal with all of us,” he said.
Speaking in a radio interview, excerpts of which have circulated on social media, the MP also stated that he played an important role in Dr Acheampong’s appointment as a minister under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
“He is my brother and I was a key influence in his becoming a minister,” he added.
Dr Bryan Acheampong has claimed that he supported 62 NPP MPs with GH¢20,000 each every month from 2021 until the party lost power in 2025.
According to the flagbearer hopeful, who made the disclosure during a campaign event at Bunsu in the Eastern Region, the funds were meant to assist the MPs with constituency and campaign-related activities.
“At that time, I did not hold any position. But from 2021, I gave 62 Members of Parliament GH¢20,000 each every month.
