Social media users have come out strongly in support of Ghanaian singer Cina Soul following a disturbing comment made about her by filmmaker Big Akwes during an interview on Bryt TV.
The remark, which Cina Soul has described as threatening, has triggered widespread backlash online, with many condemning both the actor and the media platform for what they view as dangerous and irresponsible behaviour.
The incident happened during an entertainment segment on Bryt TV, where Big Akwes was participating in a “Kiss, Marry, Kill” game. When asked to choose between actress Vivian Jill, Agradaa, and Cina Soul, he said he would marry Vivian Jill.
But instead of giving a typical or light-hearted response for the “kill” option, Big Akwes launched into a graphic description of harming Cina Soul. He detailed a scene in which he would spiritually summon her through a mirror, stab her repeatedly, and drink her blood.
The disturbing comment quickly circulated online after Cina Soul posted the clip on her X (formerly Twitter) account on July 1, 2025. In her post, she tagged the Ghana Police Service and the Ministry of Communications and expressed that she felt “deeply unsettled” and feared for her safety.
Her statement has since gained massive traction, sparking intense criticism of Big Akwes and Bryt TV. Many Ghanaians on social media are calling for action to be taken, with some urging regulatory bodies to address the conduct of both the actor and the station.
