Mahama asked to pardon Nana Agradaa

Popular Media General journalist Roland Walker has sparked debate online following his reaction to the 15-year jail sentence handed to Evangelist Mama Pat, widely known as Nana Agradaa, founder of Heaven Way Champion International Church.

Shortly after the news broke on July 3, 2025, Roland took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts. In a post that quickly attracted attention, he expressed sympathy for Nana Agradaa and made a direct appeal to President John Dramani Mahama.

“Pres JDM, we dey beg, pardon Agradaa give we,” he wrote.

The post has since stirred mixed reactions. While some agreed with his call for compassion, others were critical, arguing that Agradaa must face the consequences of her actions following her conviction for defrauding members of her church under the pretense of spiritual assistance.

Roland Walker’s comment adds to the ongoing national conversation surrounding the case, which has drawn widespread interest due to Agradaa’s prominence and controversial past.
