VIDEO: Owusu Bempah opens up on being Gay

Ghanaian preacher Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has fired back strongly at recent rumours suggesting he is gay, placing a spiritual curse on those spreading the claims—particularly targeting outspoken media personality Afia Schwarzenegger.

Speaking passionately before his congregation, the popular man of God, known for his bold political prophecies, firmly denied the allegations and urged Ghanaians to disregard them entirely. He stated that there was no truth to the rumours and called them completely baseless.

Prophet Owusu Bempah recalled that years ago, some individuals—mentioning Afia Schwarzenegger in particular—accused him of being a womanizer. Now, those same people are allegedly spreading a new rumour that he is gay.

He explained that he has attempted in the past to pursue legal action against individuals who make false claims about him. However, he expressed frustration with the legal system, stating that he sometimes feels like Ghana operates in a lawless, anarchical environment where such matters are not taken seriously.

The prophet noted that he had been informed that Afia Schwarzenegger, at the time the rumours began circulating, had issued an unqualified apology and promised not to spread false information about him again. But despite that, the hurt caused by the allegations seems to have pushed him to the edge.

Addressing the issue head-on in church, Prophet Owusu Bempah pronounced a curse on anyone who had falsely claimed he was gay. He told his congregation that while people could say all kinds of things about him, being labeled as gay was one allegation he could not tolerate.

In his words, if the rumours were true and he indeed was guilty of such acts, then may God strike him. But if the allegations were false, then he prayed that God would strike the ones who spread them.

His comments have since gone viral, sparking a heated debate online. While some people support the prophet for defending his name, others have questioned the use of the pulpit to issue curses. Afia Schwarzenegger is yet to publicly respond to the fresh attack.
