Ablekuma North rerun: NPP using Ewurabena Aubynn poster for diversion tactic

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly, Kalamu Adamu Musah, has dismissed concerns raised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over campaign posters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Ewurabena Aubynn, near the Church of Pentecost polling center in Odorkor, describing the protest as a diversionary tactic.

According to the MCE in an interview with Channel One News monitored by DailyNewsGhana, the posters in question were mounted over a week ago and are not in violation of any electoral rules.

He insisted that the NPP’s complaints are part of a broader strategy to discredit the electoral process as they sense defeat in the ongoing rerun.

“These are posters which were not done today; they have been done for over a week,” Musah said. “It is not only peculiar to the NDC. Maybe one party’s own may outnumber the other. It is normal. This was done over a week or so ago.”
