Ablekuma North Chaos: I am sorry fellow Ghanaians – Ewurabena Aubynn apologises
Member of Parliament-elect for Ablekuma North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Madam Ewurabena Aubynn, has issued an unqualified apology to all individuals who suffered violent attacks during the recently concluded Ablekuma North parliamentary election rerun across 19 polling stations.

The MP-elect, who has joined calls for an end to political violence in Ghana’s democratic process, also strongly condemned the violent incidents that nearly disrupted the electoral process in the constituency.
In an interview on Accra-based 3FM’s current affairs programme “Sunrise”, three days after her hard-won victory, Ewurabena Aubynn expressed regret over the reported attacks on journalists and some opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) members. She extended her apology to all victims, regardless of their political affiliation.
“Regardless of who was attacked, I think electoral violence should be eliminated from our processes. I am sorry this happened to my fellow Ghanaians. I apologise to anyone who was a victim,” the MP-elect stated.
Madam Ewurabena Aubynn has pledged to provide strong, fair, and committed representation for her constituents in Parliament, assuring that their concerns will be heard.
According to the MP-elect, her main focus is to equip the youth with employment and entrepreneurial skills, rejecting the culture of vote-buying in Ghanaian politics.
“I have a huge responsibility to provide the youth with jobs and startup skills so they do not have to wait four more years for someone to give them GHC50 to vote.
I will not take the people of Ablekuma North for granted. It took hard work to get here. Ablekuma North will receive fair representation in Parliament and have a voice that represents their concerns,” she explained.
