Hawa Koomson attacks Samira Bawumia and Rebecca Akufo-Addo

Ghanaian politician and educationist, Hawa Koomson, has revealed that former First and Second Ladies, Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Samira Bawumia, have seemingly turned their backs on her.

Speaking for the first time following her assault during the Ablekuma North rerun election, Koomson said the incident helped her identify those who are genuine and those who are not.

According to her, some high-profile individuals made the effort to visit and wish her a speedy recovery, something she deeply appreciated.

However, she expressed disappointment that neither Rebecca Akufo-Addo nor Samira Bawumia has reached out to her.

“If I hadn’t been alert, I would have swallowed an unknown insect,” she stated, using the expression to explain how shocked she was by the silence from people she once considered close.

Koomson added that she expected at least a phone call from the former First and Second Ladies but has yet to hear from either of them.
