National Cathedral Board goes for Mahama’s head

The Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral has expressed strong dissatisfaction with President John Mahama’s decision to dissolve the board, describing the move as abrupt and unjustified.

In a strongly worded response, the board stated that the dissolution undermines the spirit of national unity and accountability that the cathedral project was meant to symbolize.

“The Board is disappointed to note that, despite ongoing investigations by state agencies such as the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), the President has instructed the Attorney General to dissolve the board without any formal findings or wrongdoing,” a statement signed by Paul Opoku-Mensah said.

The board further described the decision as “troubling.”
