Fractured, delusional NPP with their internal power struggles will rot in opposition – Alhaji Said Sinare ‘curses’

Ghana’s former Ambassador to Egypt and Saudi Arabia, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, has launched a fierce critique of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing it as a “delusional, fractured, and rudderless” entity incapable of matching the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.

In a strongly worded statement that has stirred political debate, Alhaji Sinare—who also serves as the longest-standing National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)—praised President Mahama as a symbol of practical and people-oriented governance.

“President Mahama is not just managing an economy that was wrecked by the NPP—he is restoring hope, building unity, and charting a path toward genuine national recovery,” he asserted. “The delusional, rudderless, and fractured NPP, with their tired propaganda and internal power struggles, offer nothing but confusion and chaos. They will rot in opposition for their sins against the Ghanaian people.”

He highlighted the President’s efforts in areas such as reducing inflation, stabilising the local currency, and promoting national cohesion as signs of strong and focused leadership. He also commended the ongoing “Accounting to the People” series, calling it a bold move that demonstrates transparency and accountability.

Drawing a contrast between the NDC and the NPP, Sinare criticised the former administration for alleged nepotism within the Presidency.

“Unlike the NPP, which turned the Jubilee House into a bloated clubhouse of family and friends, President Mahama has been deliberate and thoughtful. His appointments reflect competence, not nepotism,” he charged.

Alhaji Sinare described the NPP as a party in disarray, accusing it of behaving like a “malfunctioning political cult” plagued by internal conflict, mistrust in leadership, and an inability to acknowledge its shortcomings, including its failure to release its 2024 Election Report.

“Even their own members have lost faith. They are leaking memos, undermining each other, and engaged in a daily civil war of egos,” he said. “They built nothing, broke everything, and now want to rebrand with a new face to deceive the people. Ghana has moved on.”

As Chairman of the NDC’s Zongo Caucus Working Committee, Alhaji Sinare concluded by urging Ghanaians to rally behind President Mahama and the NDC, warning that the return of the NPP could lead to a return to national instability.

“The people of Ghana know who truly has their interests at heart. The NDC under John Mahama is the future—and the momentum is unstoppable,” he declared.
