2028 Elections: Prophet Telvin Sowah predicts the next president of Ghana
Ghanaian prophet Telvin Sowah has prophesied that Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), will succeed President John Dramani Mahama as Ghana’s next president.
In an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM on July 24, 2025, Prophet Telvin stated that he received a divine revelation showing Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as “General Mosquito,” as the next leader of the nation following Mahama’s term.
The statement was made during a discussion about potential successors within the NDC after President Mahama’s tenure.
Prophet Telvin indicated that although names such as Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and Tamale South MP Haruna Iddrisu have been considered for the party’s future leadership, Asiedu Nketiah had been divinely selected.
“Once Mahama finishes his term, unless General Asiedu Nketiah is dead, he is the next president. He is called the president of the Kings. When he becomes president, he will be the president who would be on the street; he would be the president who would make Ghana work. This prophecy is by the grace of God.
“He would be the president to work with the chief which would make all the 16 regions function at the same pace and develop at the same time with the help of the chiefs,” Prophet Telvin declared.
He further explained that in his vision, Asiedu Nketiah was shown as a grassroots leader who would incorporate traditional rulers into national governance.
According to the prophecy, all 16 regions would develop equally under his leadership, in contrast to past governments that focused heavily on Greater Accra.
Prophet Telvin described Asiedu Nketiah as an approachable leader who would engage directly with citizens and ensure that chiefs are actively involved in state affairs.
When asked whether Asiedu Nketiah had been informed, Prophet Telvin confirmed that he had shared the prophecy with him multiple times.
“Almost everybody in the political space know that me and Asiedu Nketiah are aware of this prophecy. Right now, the time has been mapped, so we will follow the flow. Once the time is set, we will protect the timeline,” he said.
