VIDEO: Prophet who gave doom prophecy about Shatta Wale arrested

Prophet and counselor D. Y. Donkoh, who recently predicted the death of Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, has been arrested.

Prophet Who Gave Doom Prophecy About Shatta Wale Arrested

The arrest occurred on the night of Friday, July 25, 2025, at the prophet’s residence.

In a video shared online by Shatta Wale’s public relations officer, Sammy Flex, Donkoh is seen being questioned by police officers as he tries to explain how he received the alleged vision.

The arrest follows a viral video in which the prophet claimed to have seen two visions about Shatta Wale. In the first, the musician survived an attack and later thanked God on social media. In the second, Donkoh claimed Shatta Wale was shot and killed by three armed men.

The prophecy sparked outrage from Shatta Wale, who took to social media platform X to condemn it. He described such predictions as dangerous and called on the Ghana Police Service to take swift action.

He gave the police a one-week ultimatum to arrest the prophet, warning that failure to act would force him to respond—though not violently, but in a way that would teach a lesson to the country.

“Men of God indeed. This is what Dampare supported and it escalated. Ghana Police, if you don’t arrest this man within 1 week, nobody should blame me for what I am capable of doing—and it won’t be violence but a lesson to this country,” Shatta Wale posted.

This is not the first time Shatta Wale has been involved in a death prophecy. In 2021, a similar incident led him to fake his own death, resulting in his arrest for causing fear and panic.
