My sobolo, oil, Yesu Mogya are not medicine – Adom Kyei-Dua opens up
The founder of the Believers Worship Centre, Adom Kyei-Dua, has finally addressed the controversy surrounding his special church products—Sobolo, Powder, and ‘Yesu Mogya’.

Speaking during a sermon at his Philadelphia temple, Adom Kyei-Dua clarified that none of these items are medicinal, countering widespread public misconceptions and rumours about their healing powers.
In a video circulating online, he stated, “Note that the powder is not medicinal, oil or grace cream is not medicinal, sobolo is not medicinal, Yesu Mogya is also not medicinal.”
He explained that testimonies from church members who use the products are not due to any medicinal properties, but rather because their bodies have been spiritually cleansed after encountering him.
His explanation comes in response to growing concerns and speculation that the items, particularly the sobolo and ‘Yesu Mogya’, are being used as substitutes for prescribed medications such as nifedipine, losartan, and metformin by individuals with diabetes and hypertension.
These concerns intensified after reports emerged earlier in the week that a Ghanaian woman in Canada died following an extended fast and heavy reliance on ‘Yesu Mogya’.
