You Will Soon go to Auntie Naa – NDC MP tears apart minority

Nikyema Billa Alamzy, Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga, has criticized the Minority in Parliament for what he described as their constant resort to protests and walkouts.

Speaking during the debate on the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review on Wednesday, Alamzy, a first-time MP, questioned the Minority’s credibility in contributing meaningfully to the discussion, particularly after they staged a walkout during the Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson’s presentation nearly a week ago.

Alamzy accused the Minority of engaging in political theatrics rather than offering constructive input. “Our second colonial masters, what are they saying? You were not even here; you were not here. What are you debating? On speculations? You cannot give what you don’t have,” he stated.

He continued, “I wasn’t even expecting you to come and debate, but it has become your habit. If you are not demonstrating, you are petitioning; if you are not petitioning, you are walking out.”

Taking a humorous jab to end his submission, he added, “Mr Speaker, please tell them to centralise; if not, they will soon go to Auntie Naa and complain.”
