Eating only once a day—also known as OMAD (One Meal A Day)—has gained popularity among some people for weight loss or lifestyle reasons. But while it might sound simple and effective, regularly eating just one meal a day can have both positive and negative effects on your body depending on how it’s done.

In the short term, OMAD can lead to calorie restriction, which may result in weight loss, improved insulin sensitivity, and better mental clarity for some people.
