Captain Smart opens up on Ayisha Modi’s allegations that Daddy Lumba slapped Odo Broni
Ghanaian media personality Blessed Godsbrain Smart, popularly known as Captain Smart, has publicly disassociated himself from allegations made by Ayisha Modi concerning the late highlife icon Daddy Lumba and his partner, Odo Broni.
As Ayisha Modi’s claims continue to generate buzz, Captain Smart took the opportunity to set the record straight. Ayisha had alleged that Daddy Lumba once slapped Odo Broni in front of about 50 people during a trip to London, all because he was displeased with the colour scheme of their accommodation.
She further claimed that Daddy Lumba had performed traditional marriage rites with Odo Broni, contrary to widespread reports that they were never officially married. According to her, Captain Smart was present at the alleged ceremony.
However, the outspoken journalist has firmly denied any involvement or knowledge of such events. “I have never sat in a plane with Lumba to London or anywhere before. It’s a lie,” Captain Smart stated, clarifying that the only times he has travelled to London were with former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
He also dismissed claims of witnessing any marriage ceremony between Daddy Lumba and Odo Broni, emphasizing that Ayisha Modi’s story was entirely fabricated.
